When staging your home to sell, there may not be room in the budget to completely renovate each room, but doing something is always better than doing nothing at all. I have helped thousands of clients with the preparation of their home and the two bedrooms I never neglect are that of the Master Bedroom and Guest Bedroom. While we will stage all bedrooms in an occupied home, it is really important that these two show well.

We all have a busy, hectic lifestyle and at the end of the evening it is comforting to know we have a wonderful, comfortable place to retreat to. A place we can kick off our shoes, read a great book and settle in for a restful nights sleep...Does your bedroom provide that restful haven for you?

When selling your home, your bedrooms need to reflect that restful place to a buyer.

Here are some examples of before and afters of bedrooms we have staged. Which ones would welcome you and your guests home after a long, hard day at work?

Master Bedroom Before...nice but still lacking the WOW Factor!

Master Bedroom After...a little staging goes a long way to completing the look and feel of your room

Master Bedroom Before: This room was actually nice before staging BUT once staged you will see that the room not only appears more appealing, but we were able to create a small sitting area in the far corner of the room, which now makes it a MASTER SUITE...

Master Suite After: Additional bedding, curtains and chairs add to the luxurious feel of the room.

Guest Bedroom Before:

Guest Bedroom After:

Master Bedroom Before: A bureau and TV should not be the first thing buyers see when entering into your master bedroom.

Master Bedroom After: Make your bed the focal point of the room and the first thing that buyers will see when they enter your room.  Always display your bed on the longer wall which will show off room enough for two night tables that MOST BUYERS HAVE.

Guest Bedroom Before:

Guest Bedroom After: Soft Linen White on the walls and new bedding make this room much more appealing to buyers

Master Bedroom Before: This room is clean, tidy and neat. Most times sellers think that this is staging but as you can see the room appears dated and a little tired.

Master Bedroom After: Removing dated curtains and adding colorful elements to the room updated the look of this room that now appeals to a larger number of buyers.

These are just a small number of bedroom transformations that we have accomplished over the last several weeks. Please do not neglect any room in your house when you are prepaing it to sell. Dress your house for success and make the investment into your home. Staging your home does not have to cost alot but the return on your investment will be well worth it.

These are incredible examples, Phyllis.  Each room went thru a huge transformation.  I especially like the last photo you took.

Congratulations. Your home staging is being featured in the group Staging Before & After Pictures.

Hi Maureen, thank you it has been REALLY BUSY and I just don't have the time to do anything else. I am just walking in the door from two stagings today and it 8:15PM and now I am answering emails and putting in a vacant house proposal.

Thankfully all is well, no complaints. It is good to reconnect with my friends on the Rain.

Hoping all is well with you and that your business is thriving

God Bless

Hi Phyllis:  Thanks for saving all those bedrooms!  Most times, we can work with what's there - and add something special just as you have.  Julie

Hi Phyllis - great job on the before and afters.  Do you mean to say you didn't like the red painted room?  Just kidding!  The photos tell it all.  Changes both small and large have a terrific impact.  Good work!

Beautiful work Phyllis! - I've been absent from the Real World for newbies group for a while and have been wondering where you'd been on SIF! Hope all is well with you - I've got a college kid in NYC now, will be in the city in October for his first show. I think of you and Val each time I'm in NY now!
