The current condition of real estate.

This past week, it came to my attention that one of America's young outstanding Realtors had been lured into changing her affiliation.   She had left the balloon firm to join one of those fast growing franchises.  As I read her words sharing why she felt she had made a difficult but correct decision, it came to me that she had missed the whole point of why she had gotten into real estate to begin with.  For in all of this fine lady's discussion, I felt that I was reading the words of a young lady who had gotten religion, yet not once in her writings, nor in any of the firm's previous promotions was there a line about what the firm was doing to better serve the real estate buyer and seller.

I believe that our industry is in a terribly vulnerable position right now.  While there is no doubt that a firm's financial success is rooted in its ability to recruit, I believe that our longevity lies in what we do for the people our business serves.  We must return to the fundamentals of serving people buying and selling real estate.

TC,

I left the balloon to form my own company. The balloon was good to me,but it was time to advance my career.

Just like the fast growing franchise, another one will oneday present itself and boom no more fast growing franchise.
