In the morning, well before daylight, I will be up and ready to head out to the hospital to meet my parents.  My mom is having surgery in the morning.  I don't really have an idea of what time the surgery will be, but she is to arrive at the hospital by 6:30 a.m.  When I am on my way out the door I will be rousting my daughter from sleep after a long 9 months of EMT class (she took her final today) becauseshe will be graduating in the morning from CGTC.  It makes me a little sad that I won't be there for my daughter, although she understands I have to be at the hospital for my mom.

So please say a couple of prayers for my family tonight and in the morning.  I have so many mixed emotions as I'm worried about my mom... and I'm pretty sure the last time she was in the hospital as a patient is in 1970 when my brother was born... and excited for my daughter and sad I can't be there.  And to top off my frustration of all of it happening at once... my husband was denied leave from work, so he won't be able to be with me or with Abigail.  I have to tell you I had a few choice words to say about the person who so boldly signed his leave form and circle "denied" since my husband is NEVER late to work or calls in sick.  In fact, he hasn't even taken a vacation in two years. And he asked and was denied this leave 12 days in advance.

So while I'm sitting in the waiting room in the morning, my mom will be under the knife, my dad will be impatient, my daughter will be graduating, my husband will be at work and my office and ActiveRain will all have to go on without me.  But think about me will you?  And please say prayers for my folks, my daughter, my husband.  Tomorrow isn't really the ideal timing for any of these things, but when is life perfectly timed?  But I know God has a plan for all of us and I'm just along for the ride.  Hope that we'll all be at the same finish line sometime tomorrow night.

Taking it off in the RAIN...

Oh and Roger... I will step on the scale before I head out in the morning, but it will be late on Tuesday or maybe even Wednesday before I send you my lucky number.  :)

Oh Tammy that's a lot on your plate, I see you posted this yesterday so I hope you Mom is doing well. Congrats to Abigail what an accomplishment to be proud of!

I'd have a few choice words too for Donald's employer, you wold think w/ his work record they would have empathy for his family situation.

Tammy, our best wishes and prayers are with you.  It's now Sept. 14, so I'm wondering how it all went.  I cannot, simply cannot believe that your husband's leave was denied.  How callous and mean, and a great way to create discord and unhappiness in the workplace.

I hope all went well with your Mom, and congrats to your daughter!

Tammy - I was just having my morning coffee and taking my AR break before I start my day (it's only 8:30am here on the left coast) and I was thinking of you and wishing you and yours well today.  I hope your mama's surgery went well and that she's on the road to recovery and that Abigail's graduation went well too and was everything she dreamed of.

Have a good day Tammy.  Big hugs from the left coast.  :)

UPDATE:  MOM'S SURGERY WENT GREAT.  It took her a while longer than they expected to wake her up, which of course made my dad pace and worry.  We got her home minus her gall bladder and hopefully the pain she's been having.  Dad drove her home I stopped to get her medication at the pharmacy and of course jello and gatoraid and white grape juice and soup.

Abigail graduated and is home with me now.  Both of us are really tired.

Hugh- thank you so much for your prayers and the feature in the group so that more folks could have the opportunity to see I was asking for prayers for my mom.  I certainly appreciate it.

Margaret- Thanks for the offer.  I think we'll all be fine, it was just a lot at once.

Darren- thanks for the prayers.

Donne- thanks and it was long day, but mom's surgery went well.

Lottie- I have so much less to cope with than some.  Thanks for the prayers.

Thanks Karen and I'll tell her right now. :)  I am very proud of her.  She still has a booger bear of a two part national registry test ahead of her, but I'm sure she'll do fine.

Cynthia- I was real unhappy about Donald not getting off.  He did go to the hospital this morning for a while because he works 2 to 10, but then he left and went home to potty the puppies and get ready for work, but at least he knew mom was out of surgery and in recovery before he had to go to work today.  And thanks, I'll pass those congrats on to Abigail.

Melissa- Mom is doing good and Abigail is one step closer and I'm very proud of her.  She did super well in this class.

Mike- thanks and I appreciate every single prayer.

Donne-  I kinda think she just wanted it to get over so she can move on and take that test before Monday and get her "numbers" and use this certification. :)  Thanks for thinking of me.  Abigail had just got finished and my dad and I were getting to see mom about the time you typed your comment.

Tammy,

Just found your post.  I'm so glad that all went well.  Your husband's employer did not treat him right.  What a bummer.

Thanks for the update on all.

Best to you and yours!

Judi- wow, new you face :)  I like it what pretty blue eyes you have.  And I'm so over his supervisor not letting him off.  I was really mad, but then I just got past it.  And thanks.

I couldn't agree more Hugh.  And then of course I also thank God for all the prayers for my family this week.  We made it through all the stress and came out stronger and better for it.  I appreciate the love, prayers and concern very much.
