A “Rock n Roll” Paint-a-Thon is coming up on Saturday October 23, 2010 in Apache Junction Arizona. This is the 7th year for this terrific program that helps seniors maintain their homes. Needy or disabled seniors over 60 years old are selected to receive a paint job for their property. The City of Apache Junction has teamed up with Rebuilding Together, Valley of the Sun for this event this year.  

Volunteers for the task are needed!

The cost of paint for each home can be $300-$400 alone and with labor can be upwards of $3,000.

So what band is playing during the paint-a-thon? ZZ Top? Pink Floyd? LOL

We occasionally have painting and fixer-up events here but no rock 'n' roll bands. I've done a couple of the painting ones. They can be quite a bid of fun.
