Mike, Now you're talking. Man that food looks great. I was fortunate to have friends that worked at K Pauls Louisiana Kitchen back in the early 80's when I wandered out this way from Florida and Maine. Wow did my taste buds get an education.

Hi Mike -

When I was a kid in Orange County California, my mom and  my "Momo" did all the cooking. They both are from Cow Island, Louisiana. I thought they were phenomenal cooks and none of my friend's mom could hold a candle to them. I hated sleeping at my friend's houses because the food was sooo lousy.

So, I move to the Acadiana area 5 years ago on a whim, and was shocked to discover all the cooking tastes just like my family's recipes.

I had no idea I was raised on a 95% ethnic diet. The only rice and gravy I ever ate was my Momo's and it was sublime. And, no other kids in knew had a "Momo". Now, everywhere I go there is fabulous rice and gravy and they are all cooked by real geunine "Momos!"

Sometimes I think I have died and gone to heaven.

~Michelle
