Travel to Duck NC this fall for the Jazz Festival

Plan to travel to Duck NC this fall? Why not! The fall especially is beautiful on the Outer Banks. Temperatures remain warm because of the breeze across the warmer ocean waters. The summer traffic is gone. Humidity is lower. Over all this is really the perfect time.

By the way, you really need to travel to Duck NC this fall for the 4th Annual Duck Jazz Festival on October 10 in the Duck Town Park. Fab music and it's FREE! For details check www.duckjazz.com.

One more note: If you've been to Duck during or immediately after a heavy rain, you are painfully aware of the delay that takes place near the Tuckahoe neighborhood. This back log of water is locally known as Lake Tuckahoe. I've seen this area be all but closed to traffic.

This makes all of us question why we travel to Duck any time it rains. The good news is that a NC 12 Storm Water Project to eliminate this problem is underway. The bad news is that this project is . . . underway.

Expect possible delays as the road (and nerves) are being raised. But wait. There is more good news. All the work is estimated to be completed by the middle of May 2011 - before our next tourist season begins.

Don't stay away because of this inconvenience. Travel to Duck NC this fall for the Jazz Festival. We wouldn't want you to miss the best seasons to enjoy Duck and the Outer Banks! By the way, while you're here, come by Resort Realty next to Tommy's Market. Just take a minute to say "Hi". We'd love to meet you.
