An old buddy of mine called and asked me Does Active Rain work?
ActiveRain is unquestionably responsible for a great deal of business, both referral and direct, just from all the blogging we all do. Looks like Nevin's friend will be joining.
An old buddy of mine who is a well known & successful Realtor in Sacramento called me today and asked me about Active Rain. He asked me does Active Rain work? What Could I say? I told him briefly how Active Rain has accounted for a large part of my income this year. He said he would call back later to discuss more in detail.
I'm so glad I joined when I did! I have already established an Internet presence because of Active Rain but there's so much more I've accomplished. As a result of my participation I have been able to refer business to other loan officers in states I am not licensed in. I have also been able to refer business to other agents and receive referrals in return.
No need for an education loan! I have learned about Google juice, key words, long tail key words, key word density, framing a website inside of my blog, Google analytics, HTML code, Headers, back link among other things. I have a huge knowledge base of experienced people sharing the methods they employ each day. Each day I read I get smarter and reduce my competition.
The next referral will come from an unlikely source. Believe it or not many referrals come from people in different states who just so happen to have an old client or family member moving into a state in which I am licensed. I also get referrals from loan officers. It's a good thing to reach out to everyone on the rain.
I have built a new website because of what I have learned here. Special thanks to Craig Rutman and Dave Roberts for sharing their technical knowledge. I have other ventures I am involved in with AR members outside of AR. I couldn't have met these motivated tech savvy people if I hadn't joined Active Rain. Active Rain doesn't have to be everything to you. For me It's a platform for other ideas and projects. It is however the best method to meet like minded individuals in real estate who share the same passion for Internet presence.
When he calls back he's in for an education. I sure hope you leave comments with a short summary of what AR has done for you. Once he is involved he will be a great asset to our community.
