I love playing pool with my 12 year old. He and I play a good bit and he's getting pretty good. We played this earlier this morning and he had "run the table" and I had 6 balls on the table plus the 8 ball. I went on a little run of my own and ended up winning the game. I know some may think that I should "let him win", but he likes to play hard.

It dawned on me that, I often can get off to a fast start, but it's important to finish strong. In golf they say, "It's not how  you drive; it's how you arrive!"  I want to start transactions in a strong way and then finish them strong. I want my marketing plan to start strong and stay strong and end in a closed sale.

It seems that this is a good principle in so many areas of life. Set a pace you can keep and finish strong!!

Dwayne: In Japanese they have a expression, Ryotodabi, "Dragon's head, snake's tail." an aphorism that is centuries old, meaning strong start, weak finish, and the connotation is not a postive one. Finishing strong is an art an an aspiration to be sure.
