I was talking to a client over the weekend at an open house being held by one of my Realtor-partners. I guess there was a surge of shoppers due to the weather or maybe a bus from the local senior center was nearby and taking a detour. I was on the lanai of this very nice home near the water misters to stay cool and an older gentlemen struck up a conversation asking me if I was the mortgage guy on duty. I responded positively and and he asked what the term of the new mortgages on the market are.

I told him mortgages are running terms of "up to 40 and 50 years these days", although I would not recommend them.

He thought for a moment and then said, "Son, look at me, you see how old I am? I don't even buy green bananas anymore"....

Witty Seniors like him sometimes have young, pretty wives.  But then again he doesn't buy green bananas.  That was a side-splitter.
