Be Relentless! Everyday!

By
Real Estate Broker/Owner with Fran Rokicki Realty, LLC

Get up early and get yourself going!  Yes, as Brian Buffini told us at the Mastermind Summit in San Diego last week, you must be relentless!  Go after and go after, what you want, what you are dreaming, what you are going to accomplish.  Make a list, then prioritize it!  Focus on that list, look at it every day, more than once if it helps you to go for it.  To climb a mountain, you must go up and down, to go up.  This is because of the thinning air.  But, if you do this with your business, you will keep going up, setbacks are like the thin air.  They just make you want to get to the summit even more.  It may take you a bit longer, but, be relentless.  Keep doing your daily activities, focus on winning the day!  Then, you will win the week, win the month and before you know it, you have made it to the summit of your mountain!

It's a Good Life!

It is so easy for many of us to lose our focus in this declining market.  Thank you for the reminder to keep my focus on the top of that peak!

Hey...... I use the tag-line "Its a good Life"!!! Great post and very, very true. The key to success is not some over complicated thing. One word describes success..... RELENTLESS. One word can make the difference between success and failure and you nailed it.

Thanks.

Well, Brian Buffini takes the credit for both, It's a Good Life and Be Relentless are passed to me, from him:) to you and whoever needs or likes to hear it!  He definitely nails it, every time!  Statistically, we do need to refocus (not sure if that is a word), every 30 days.  To get motivated, to re-energize!  That is why he hosts an event every month, all over the country.  To help us, keep on going, "on fire"! He advises us, that we should try to attend any seminar we can, to motivate ourselves.  It is key to the focus, to positive thinking, actions, and to the summit!

Thanks Brad!

Excellent comments. Actually something I needed this morning. Some days seem like you take one step froward and two backwards. And while that may be the case, your point is appropriate - be relentless! Thanks.

Relentless is a great, descriptive word for what it takes to get through the list everyday!  Every time we get side-tracked, we need to be relentless in getting back to what is important.  Thanks!

Brian also advises to be conscientious with whome we associate.  If you are spending too much time with those that are relentless in their negative attitudes and announcing "the sky is falling...the sky is falling" pretty soon, we begin to believe it and then we stop making calls, stop sending the notes/thank you cards, stop adding to our database.  I know I am doing my level-headed best to avoid those in our office that are happy to be bringing others down.

Like Brian said his mom always said "Show me your friends, and I will tell you who you are."

I listened to his cd's all weekend long when I was driving.  Kids started to like it even though they initially complained....

Get up and out of the office! Do whatever paperwork that you must, make your calls and off you go!  Get out and meet new people, go have a coffee, meet with a vendor, let your business associates know that you are now being coached.  Ask if they want to be included in with the folks receiving your Client Appreciation Program.  Try to pass out 5 of your cards, a day, to people that you do not know!

I've always believed in this philosophy. In fact, I get up early everyday to ensure I accomplish as much as I can. Things may happen later on, but I get as much out of the way as soon as possible.

Frances - No doubt being relentless is a great trait to have. The most successful agents almost always have that in them.

Frances, I was reading this blog last night.   Had I not, I would have forgotten the 15 notes I needed for the three days I am out of office this week attending TPR.  I filled them out on the plane, dropped them in the mailbox on Concourse C at ATL Hartsfield Airport and felt great knowing I made one more step up that mountain.  Like Buffini says,,,,concentrate on the stability portion of stability, success and significance.

THANKS FRAN!

Derek
