In my reading this morning, I came across a statement that is being played out before our eyes. The statement is this:
Prosperity is as short-lived as a wildflower, so don't ever count on it. You know that as soon as the sun rises, pouring down its scorching heat, the flower withers. Its petals wilt and, before you know it, that beautiful face is a barren stem. Well, that's a picture of the "prosperous life." At the very moment everyone is looking on in admiration, it fades away to nothing. (James 1:10-11 The Message)
This statement sure made me think about where I am and what I'm doing. If I have a great year in Real Estate, or a great month, or a great week - I need to be thankful and be prepared for the years, months or weeks that aren't so great.
I need to plan carefully how I invest in things like my own lifestyle, home, car, entertainment. How much longer can I have the properity that I'm presently experiencing.
I'm just saying - Plan Ahead!
Press on!
