Eeeeeewwwwww....

....that is the first thing that was uttered out of our mouths as we saw dust, crumbs, dirt and who knows what else fly out of our keyboard!

So, my fellow drips...take action!  Avoid the most disgusting thing you have ever seen before it is too late!  Take your compressed gas canister, point it directly and closely at your keyboard and shoot!  You might want to invest in some protective eyewear and possibly an industrial strength apron. For the sake of the interior breathing space, you may even want to take this project outside.  Those who are faint of heart may want to hire a professional, or unknowing kid, to do this for you.  If you are allergy prone, you may want to wear a gas mask!

Take it from me, drips...this undertaking is vital to your health and welfare. Invest in your health and purchase a compressed gas canister specifically made for cleaning your keyboards and the like.  You may have just added years to your life!

I agree!  I use that little canister thing too.  My son was wondering why his "W" key didn't work any more....  We got it fixed.  I was probably all those cheetos crumbs growing in his keyboard!

I never heard of it.  I'm not sure how dirty my keyboard can be since this is my 4th one this year.. I am a tea drinker and have nuked 3 so far by spilling tea on them!

Hi Gary and Melynda!
I had never used one until recently...they are so cool...quite literally!

Hi Christine!
Cheetos woudl definitely do it! We found one dust bunny so big we had to dig it out with a paper clip because it wouldn't blow out!

Hi Susan!
I think you need a sippy cup!  Try one of these...they are like water blasters...once you start, you can't stop!

Hi Gary!
Now there is another tact I hadn't thought of!

Paula, you are so right.

I actually watched an entire t.v. show on the fact that the computer keyboard is THE #1 Bacteria playground both in our homes and in our offices.

And, the depths of these monsters don't stop at simply trapping crumbs.....it gets monumentally more disgusting from there.

So, yes, the compressed air canister is a MUST to have at your desk always. However, make sure that you are not shaking it up before spraying.

Also, if anyone has ever been tempted to lick one's keyboard, STOP, for heaven's sakes!!!

I usually buy a new keyboard. I mean they are pretty cheap these days anyway! Or maybe I just like to spend money : 0     LOL

Hello Paula ~ Can I just use my leaf blower? It's such a multi-purpose tool already - cleans ceiling fans, blows up the kiddie pool, removes squirrels from attics... and now removes cheetos from keyboards.

A hair dryer (on high setting) works also if you keep the temperature on cool. The resulting debris in the air is mystifying - straight from The Wizard of Oz!
