A scam being perpetrated on realtors.

By
Real Estate Agent with Right Choice Realty LLC

This scam is being perpertrated on realtors and involves a phony group calling themselves Successful Senior Shopper, U.S. Senior News and Senior News. The evidence is overwhelming of what I have found about these companies. A check of the phones resulted in some of them being disconnected and others well cell phones. They will even fax you a phony bill for an ad that you placed in the senior papers and tell you that if you overnight payment to them they will cut yoru bill in half. It wasnt until they tried the second time that I realized that this was a scam the second bill was very similar to the first and where probably done on the same computer. When this second company faxed me the bill and I saw it. I then put it on him like what kind of scam are you guys from Illinois try to run here. He immediately hung up.

Being the kind of person I am not to give up with out a fight. I immediately began to search out these businesses. Researching these alleged businesses I began to hit dead ends. I called the cities where they where suppose to be located at, called the city offices to check on business licenses.

Neither one of these business has contacted me since. I felt that I should alert my fellow realtors about this alleged scam in the hopes that none of you fall victim to this scam.

How much were the adds being scammed for?  I haven't heard of this one yet.  It's bad enough that we get lured to houses for rape and murder, now someone wants to steal our hard earned advertising dollars.

With unemployment so low, you would think these people would have something better to do than to come up with ideas like this.

There's a new scam everyday. Alot of this crap would stop if the techies would develop the technology to track these people down and hold them accountable. There has to be a better way.
