You've got a friend in the business. Real estate agents see a lot of different homes. We get to see how people react to different styles and design choices. You learn about home designs and trends. We even research how different elements affect the purchase price and speed of sale.
Experience counts. I am a handyman and remodeler by hobby. I enjoy fixing up homes and making improvements. By doing this work for myself I have learned about construction and design elements. This experience helps me be able to visualize changes and potential issues that may occur.
I know a guy who . . . Real estate agents meet many of the contractors in the field. We see their work and know how they interact with clients. Being able to refer a professional who specializes in a certain type of project can really cut down on your legwork and may reduce your costs.
