This market is insane.  One day I'm selling properties, the next day I'm renting and then the next week or two its completely dead.  Its enough to drive someone crazy.  I tend to be an optimist but sometimes i have momentary lapses in my positivity and it usually happens when I'm bored.  Earlier tonight i was in a "God, I wish the real estate market was great again" mood while eating with friends at a Chinese restaurant in town.  Anyway, this fortune cookie saved my night.  It instantly put me in a good mood for some reason.  Who gets a fortune like this?  See the stock market has been doing pretty well throughout the summer if you have the nerve to stay in it, but now I think the real estate recovery is about to begin.  Lets see if this fortune comes true.

This market is exciting.  Rates are lower than ever, there are tons of short sales and amazing buying opportunities out there.  There is also a ton of money laying around.  The problem is that people are afraid.  This country is not going out of business.  There is a boom on the horizon and you will be kicking yourself if you don't buy soon.  Rates will rise the minute the economy stabalizes so this is the small and rare window of opportunity where people get rich.

Call me if you want to hear about all of the great deals laying around out there.

Reid, if one is focussed, no matter how the market is, one does well! Ask those mega agents who increased their take home when overall sales were significantly down!

Yes it is an ever-changing market and I like your positive attitude.  That is one thing that can help us all.

Praful.  Thanks for the response.  You are right.  I'm having my best year yet but its a struggle to get there.  Ups and downs.  Everything hits at once it seems.  I like steady and busy all the time.

I absolutely agree with your statement. "The problem is that people are afraid."
