Fall County Wide Cleanup Starts September 18th
The Sebastian County / Great Arkansas Cleanup is starting September 18th.
The first event is at Midland @ the intersection of 45 & 253.
The next event on September 25th will be at Huntington, across from City Hall, Mansfield @ the Public Works Building, Witcherville Park on Highway 71 South and Hartford at the City Park on Main & Holly Street off Hwy.96.
On October 2nd, the Cleanup moves to Greenwood with drop offs at the County Road Department and the Street Dept. @ 104 Bell Road.
The next weekend, October 9th, we begin again in Lavaca,East Sebastian County Park, Featherhill road and Central City behind the City Hall.
October 16th, the Cleanup will be in Jenny Lind on the Jenny Lind Loop @ Gate Nine Road and in Milltown @ the VFD Community Building.
The last cleanup event will be in Bonanza @ the Street Department on HWY 45 and Hackett, across from the Fire Station on the 23rd of October.
All of the locations will open at 7 AM and close at 2 PM. The sites will be staffed at all times to assure that only acceptable wastes are disposed of.
The following items are NOT acceptable:
Yard waste,grass,leaves and brush
Used oil
Tires
Batteries
Hazordous or toxic waste
Paints or liquids of any kind
Pesticides or Herbicides
Cleaning chemicals
Appliances containing freon
There will be someone at all locations to accept
electronic items such as computers,tv's, printers etc.
This cleanup is for RESIDENTS ONLY ! Not for commercial
dumping.
The City of Fort Smith will have a City Wide Cleanup from October 16th until October 23rd. The hours for the city wide cleanup are 11 AM until 7 PM.The locations for the cleanup are as follows, Ward 1 - Grand Ave. Baptist Church, 3900 Block of Grand Ave.North Parking Lot, Ward 2 - NORTH 50TH & Plum Streets, Parking Lot 1 block east,Electronics may be dropped off at this location. Ward 3 - Evans Boys & Girls Club, 6015 Boys Club Lane, and Ward 4 - Goldtrap-Gardner Boys & Girls Club, 8800 South Dallas
