'Progressives' in California are calling into question Gubernatorial candidate Meg Whitman's massive spending on behalf of her own candidacy. As of yesterday she surpassed New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg in all-time spending racking up over $119 million - mostly of her own money.
Liberals, trying to rally support for Moonbeam Brown, have tried to portray her spending in a bad light - she's just trying to buy the election.
Well, apparently she can afford it, she has a helluva business record that obtained it for her and she believes she has the best plan to right the many wrongs of California.
I don't envy whomever gets the job. As one pol delicately put it, whoever wins the Governors race in November should immediately demand a recount.
But my question for you is this - would you rather have a candidate like Meg Whitman who has spent her own money in pursuit of the office?
Or a candidate like Jerry Brown who has spent nearly $1 million of union money since Sept. 1? This doesn't begin to cover millions more in IE's from teachers unions & other public unions?
Hmmm. I wonder who's going to be pulling his strings if he gets in? Probably the same puppetmasters that control most of the rest of our Democratic Legislators.
Business as usual in California.
