San Diego County home sales for August 2010

There were 3,110 homes sold in August 2010 in San Diego County, up 1.4% from July 2010, down 6.2% from August 2009, but virtually the same as August 2008 (3,148). Sales reached a low of 1,826 in January 2008 but have been steadily increasing year over year since then, with only a few bumps in the road here and there, which experts blame on various tax credits and seasonal declines.

If your intent is to live in your home, raise your family there, and perhaps even retire there, it's always a great time to buy, but especially so right now with interest rates still at record lows and before home prices increase so far that your dream home is out of reach.
