Re-Creating yourself in this Real Estate Market through Education

Do you feel you are getting enough education?  Learning what you need to learn in this market?  The past 2 years I have spent an average of 10 hours a week in CE classes, all of which have a Certification attached to them.  In addition to school and additional certifications and CE credits I have attended many Free Webinars and training available through NAR and affiliate Websites.  The world doesn't sleep, it is constantly evolving and so are we as REALTORS.

Some people just like the Certifications and Logos on their cards, I like the learning and advancement of my skills in these trying times.  Truly I am remarketing myself through educational opportunities.

Most recent education is my CIPS (Certified International Property Specialist) and my TRC (Transnational Referral Certification) both of which help me to understand my International clients and future clients.

My current reading is "Kiss Bow and Handshake" which teaches you Customs, Do's and Don'ts and common courtesy in their home countries and while here in US of A and a whole lot more!  Understanding what is expected from you and discovering just how different our Real Estate transaction are and how they affect foreign buyers and sellers decisions.  Doing your homework before you walk out that door into this new and upcoming Industry.  International Buyers are big in the Florida future, never have we been so affordable and Industry is coming our way too.  Great Shipping and International Flights opening up soon.  More!!!!

In my spair time I am learning Spanish III, through the use of "Pimsleur Language Lessons" on my Ipod, Iphone and Computer.  It is my goal and intentions to visit Brazil, Spain and South of the US Borders to learn and assist buyers in their quest for Real Estate in and out of the US.  Brazil is an up and coming Market, with World Cup in 2014 and the Olympics in 2016.  They are currently building the largest airport in South America in Brazil.  Emerging new markets at our doorsteps.

Currently finishing my GRI Certification (III), which I believe to be a combination of so many of the exisiting certifications, only on to a little higher level of awareness of Law, Taxes, etc.  This is a must for all Brokers and Agents to take them to one of the highest levels of education currently available in National Association of Realtors.

I am pround to be a Realtor, believing I provide my clients the best and most current services available to them in today's market.  Short Sales, Pre-Foreclosures, Foreclosures, Tax Sales, they are all prevelent in today's market.

Certified CFS (Certified Foreclosure Specialist) SFR (Short Sale and Foreclosure Resource)E-Pro (internet Professional) TRC (Transnational Referral Certification) currently awaiting my CIPS Certificate.  Completing GRI Certification 9/22/2010.

I liked your post title "Re-Creating yourself in this Real Estate Market through Education".  Re-creating oneself is exactly what education should be about.

I know some are skeptical about the value of supplementary real estate education, but there are some great courses (and educators) out there.  Best of luck with the pursuit of your goals!
