Montgomery County MDATTENTION MONTGOMERY COUNTY, MD RESIDENTS:

18 NEW MOBILE SPEED CAMERA LOCATIONS

Montgomery County, MD has chosen 18 new locations in and around Montgomery County to install speed cameras, vans and a pole. The goal is a good one - to persuade drivers to SLOW down, drive carefully and follow the speed limit! If you have a lead foot and you are cruising in these locations, expect a present in the mail. It's also a good way for the County to make some $$$.

Deployment at these new locations began August 30, 2010:

13500 block of Arctic Ave.

9100 block of Cedar Ln. Bethesda

11800 and 11900 blocks of Claridge Rd.

11100 and 11200 blocks of Connecticut Ave.

Hi Betsy!  This is great for those of us with lead feet!  We had the cameras here for awhile but, I don't think they're using them any longer.  Somehow the attorneys in town found a loophole and no one wound up paying the tickets!  The city decided it wasn't worth it I guess!

Have a great week...

We have them downtown here but not in the suburbs. It's surprising how many people get tickets especially when they know exactly where the cameras are located.

Well, it's nice that they (or you) publish the locations! I remember the first time I got a picture in the mail of the back of my car with the license plate clear as day, as I committed some violation. What a shocker!

If it's mobile, is there a sign before the camera?
