Synergy in Real Estate

By
Real Estate Agent with Inactive License

What an awesome career this is...being an entrepreneur.  I joined this adventure to make a difference, to lead the way in changing the way Realtors are viewed and help our clients build wealth through real estate.  Being a licensed agent since May 2007, what I've seen more than anything is "its all about me and my commission".  I've met some awesome mentors along the way and they all have one thing in common - they are doing work behind the scenes to create a synergistic process for agents.

Here's how I want to make a difference and change Realtors image:

Real Estate school needs to be taken to the next level.  It's fine to pass the test, but some real, hands on training of not only how to call prospects, farming, door-knocking, but also how to deal with other real estate "professionals".

Real Estate agents need to be held accountable - not only by their peers, but their brokers, their clients and others in the office.

Education shouldn't be optional on current market trends, lending changes, city changes that affect real property, and any other major changes that potentially affect our clients.

Wealth building for our clients:

We need to understand the various ways to build wealth through real estate in order to teach our clients.

Don't be afraid to ask the hard questions, guide in a way that benefits the client, build solid relationships - not just superficial ones.

Who's with me on this?

Rhonda

Our consumers need to hold us all accountable first and that in itself will take care of the rest.  I suspect it will get harder and harder for average to less than average agents to run a real estate business.  Especially because of blogging and the internet.  Let's face it.  When our friends and relatives ask us who we recommend for things like a real estate agent, unless they're REALLY BAD, we usually give them a name.  Today, those same people can Google those people and decide if they're really going to get the quality of service they feel like they deserve.  I got a great deal this year because a referred agent didn't perform and because I was well placed on the net....THANK GOD!

You have a very positive outlook and that is a plus.  A big plus.  So many facets in this business are learned and come from how situations are handed to you.  Real Estate school is just building the foundation and there is so much more educations and certs that you can achieve which will only benefit your career.  Remember "knowledge is power" and treat others as you would want to be treated.

Good luck with your career.
