2010 Keller Williams Luxury Retreat!

By
Real Estate Agent with Illustrated Properties

The 3rd annual KW Luxury Retreat took place in Austin, Tx September 16-18 and was sold out with more than 250 agents in attendance.  Everyone had a great time and came away with a wealth of information and fantastic new relationships to network with. It was perfect timing with the release of KW Luxury Homes magazine with over 60 pages of beautiful homes for sale.

We arrived Thursday afternoon and started the retreat with dinner, networking, dancing and entertainment featuring the band Duck Soup. Friday morning began with continental breakfast and listening to Dr. Ted Jones of "New Business Model for the 2010 Economy: Adapt, Mutate, Migrate or Die - An Economic and Real Estate Forecast". He delivered so much real material that is easy to understand and utilize in our businesses and with our clients. He was also quite funny too. He sampled many markets in the US and showed us with great graphs how most of us have indeed past bottom and are starting to climb back up in value and volume. Then it was on to a great super star panel of agents who are successfully working this market. In the usual Keller Williams way, they were happy to share how they are doing it and why.

After a great lunch and networking together Stefan Swanepoel (author of the New Swanepoel Social Media Report) presented to us on technology, how it is changing, how it will affect us and the world.  It was quite the eye opening presention and all I could do to lift my chin off the floor in pure amazement and a touch of fear. Will we ever have privacy going forward I had to wonder?  It certainly cemented the fact that we have to stay on top of these changes if we are going to be successful.

Next we heard from Chris Heller who is our new President of KW worldwide and how he plans to introduce Keller Williams to new countries and the challenges he faces. Then our technology leadership presented to us where we are with the revamp of our exclusive new site and we all voted on templates that we liked. As usual, agents all working together for success. For dinner we put on our pretty cocktail attire, networked some more and enjoyed a 5 star dinner together. There was such excitement about the new relationships and referral opportunities to each other.

Our final morning we were treated to an outstanding breakfast followed by a presentation from Platinum Sales Systems who just may be for many, the easy leg up on technology. Lastly, Diana Kokoszka presented on the Language of Luxury Sales.

This was the best $299 ever!!!  It included all our meals, supported and encouraged our networking and provided us with up to the minute useful information.  If you want to more about this super division please feel free to write me as I am one of the founding board members.  We are going great places and this group aims one more arrow at that balloon!

See you next year!
