Earlier this year our office goal was to go paperless and my Administrative Assistant jumped on the bandwagon with GUSTO! Saving trees you know.
Being Gen Y she doesn't understand my need to hang on to t!he 5 filing cabinets that hold my life information. Personal, business, marketing, tax information and client information with cobwebs................etc!
Our office is completely paperless except for the one rolling file beside my desk that I keep a watchful eye on, although; I have noticed Amy eyeing it longingly.
Oh yes, even our clients are receiving their documents on cd's or in their email so they too can have the paperless experience and they are loving it. Thought they would help me out by clinging to their paper, but alas, NO; they are quite pleased with less clutter too!
Oh what to do, what to do? Do I give in and learn where to look in the online storage, or do I continue to plead helplessness in finding files perfectly placed, safely stored and recorded online? For now I think I can continue to plead ignorance of the online process, but Amy is teaching me everyday and expects me to learn! So I will graciously listen and pretend to love the paperless experience for now!
BUT
Amy hasn't discovered the storage units yet and don't tell her!
