Have you ever wondered where the great cakes that are featured at Ronald McDonald House events come from? If they purchased all those cakes and treats, it woulld cost them a fortune! Luckily for the Pensacola Ronald McDonald House, they have the Panhandle Cake CRUMBS to come to the baking rescue!
Kaps For Kids Cake 2010
The cake decorating club makes cakes for almost every event, and often makes dozens and dozens of cookies, cupcakes, muffins, and other treats for events as well, such as the annual Firecracker 5k held every 4th of July weekend, the Annual Firetruck Pull, and Kaps for Kids.
All of the members volunteer time, ingredients, baking and cake decorating expertise, and a whole lot of love to make these cakes memorable and to help raise much needed funds for the local Ronald McDonald House.
The Panhandle Cake Crumbs also sponsor an annual cake decorating competition that benefits the Ronald McDonald House. The event is open to novices and professionals alike, and even the kids can enter the contest, or just come out to enjoy looking at all the great creations! This year's theme is "The 1960's"! So, dust off your apron, come down to a local Joanne's or Michaels for a cake decorating class or two, and join in the fun!
