Why we live in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida

By
Real Estate Agent with 100% Realty, Inc.

This is a photograph of the beautiful Gulf of Mexico at Santa Rosa Beach in Walton County, Florida.  The sand is like fine white sugar, minus the sweet taste, and the sea is emerald.  If you are seeing this from a far away state or country, this is our main attraction!  This is why we love the Gulf Coast!!

Robert, I grew up by the Ocean and don't think I could ever live far from a beach again...there is nothing like it!  Your picture is lovely, thank you for posting it.

Thanks Carole Provenzale, Mike Jones, and David Podqursky for your kind comments.  I enjoy photography and there certainly is no shortage of scenery here.  Photographing the beach and the sunsets leave the impression that any amateur is a seasoned professional behind the camera.  And, of course, with digital cameras, it's hard to mess up a photo.  Today, we have a little rain at the beach, and an easterly breeze.  Just enough to cool things off.  Weather seems to change with a full moon and early this morning, we had the lunar eclipse.  Did anyone see that?

Thanks for the visit, Gary White.  I lived in Grand Rapids a short time, many years ago.  I recall it was very cold in winter!!

Great photo Robert. Truly is a paradise. You might consider editing your post to provide a link to Google Earth or maps. It would help the rest of us to orient ourselves.

Robert-That looks beautiful.  We were debating retiring to the Fort Walton Beach area because of the close proximity to many military installations (we are a retired Army family).  The Army decided to send us to Hawaii and thats where we ended up.  I think our beaches and your beaches have their own equal beauty.  Aloha!

Hello Top,

We were in Hawaii last fall.  It's absolutely beautiful.  You did very well.  Stay where you are and be happy!!

I retired from the USAF (MSgt) in 1993, and spent the next 9 years in Houston.  We are in Destin/Santa Rosa Beach, FL since 2002.

All the best to you and yours.

MSgt Monk-You look great in the picture and I hope you had a nice time in Hawaii.  Did you take advantage of the Hale Koa Hotel in Waikiki?  Oddly enough, we were in Florida last Christmas.  Took the family to Disneyworld.  Aloha and have a great day.

1SG Kucic,

Thanks for your picture.  You must enjoy your life in the islands!  We stayed at the Hilton Hawaiian Village Beach Resort & Spa, 2005 Kalia Road, Honolulu, HI. We were there for a convention.  We visited Pearl Harbor, of course.  At the Pearl Harbor Memorial

That is absolutely beautiful!!  Here, when it's near 100 degrees outside and humid, I dream of snow and ice, and chilling breeze that makes your teeth chatter!!

Thanks for the pic.

Robert, great picture!!  We love the Florida beaches.  Our beaches in Texas just aren't the same.  I think it is the Mississippi feeding in to the gulf that makes them so muddy.  We have never been to Santa Rosa Beach but it looks like someplace we should visit sometime.
