BIG CANOE What is it?

If you are looking for property in the North Georgia Mountains, or property in the mountains period, you should see Big Canoe. Big Canoe is one of Georgia's premier mountain communities. Big Canoe is almost 10,000 acres. It has 1/3 set aside green space. It is gated and has security. But this is only part of the story.

Big Canoe's location is important. It is at the Southern edge of the Smokies. In fact it faces the starting point of The Trail that takes you from Georgia to Maine. You are also only 50 miles away from the Northern edge of Atlanta. So shopping, medical facilities, a major airport, dining, and entertainment is at your finger tips.

The other big news in Big Canoe is amenities. There are 27 holes of golf, 10 tennis courts, a fitness center, 2 pools outdoors and one pool indoors. There are over 100 miles of hiking trails. There are monthly events and an out door arena. There is camp Big Canoe for the kids as well as a boy scout troop. There is a non denominational chapel where folks line up to book weddings way in advance. There is fishing, as well as boating.

I am surely leaving things out but you get the idea. Now all this is in the mountains and you can see deer ,eagles, turkey, and sometimes a bear.

What makes this all so special is prices can start as low as 200,000 and work theie way up to 2.5 million for a home ! This makes Big Canoe a unique, affordable destination of choice.

I live in Big Canoe and work in the North Georgia Mountains. If your clients are looking for mountains and this type of enviornment. I would be happy to show them one of North Georgia's great communities and the mountains best kept secret.

Charlie - How did Big Canoe get its name - Where I live it is the family name of a very large Chippewa family who are members of Ontarios First Nations. (google chief big canoe)
