Withdrawn Listing Do Come Back

Recently we have been working with a withdrawn listing. The listing was withdrawn due to personal reasons. What do you do with your expired or withdrawn paper work? In Louisiana, you should keep all documentation five years. This is in accordance with the Louisiana Real Estate Commission.
A better reason to stay in touch with the customer is for follow up purposes. After two years, this customer called back and the personal issue had been resolved. The customer had lost of the title work and land survey, etc...
When I told them that I had a copy of the file with all this information they were relieve that they did not have to go and possibly paid for all these lost files.
Finally, keep your files backed up for your clients sake. Remember in Louisiana its the law!
