I must admit that it is a little difficult to get caught up in the excitement that fall brings to the South (and probably other areas of the country) when the fall festivals take center stage and the temperature outside is still in the mid-90's!!!!! However, Suwanee was the first in the area to kick off their fall festival this past Saturday.
To be totally honest, I did not go to the festival which is kicked off by a parade. It was just too darn hot! However, wanting to be a part of the frenzy, I did help in this year's first-ever Prudential Georgia Realty parade float. It was a somewhat last minute decision for our office to enter a float, but sometimes the greatest pieces of art are cultivated and created on the spur of the moment. And, better yet, we were the last float in the line - leaving the best for last! Our first-ever float received "honorable mention" for creativity.

Although I missed the festival, there is no doubt the blue skies prompted many to come enjoy the day's events despite the hot temperatures.
