Real You: Something fun, something new - help me pick a cover!

By
Services for Real Estate Pros with Real Living

Typically, in my posts here and elsewhere, I opine about entrepreneurs, about keeping the faith in the real estate business and about how once you find it within to define your personal brand your real estate brand will become that more competitive. Be the Real You and your work and life will be that much better, richer.

To that end, I thought I'd share what I've been up to lately in my Real You world. In addition to being excited to see many of my wonderful friends at the WCR and NAR Conferences in New Orleans this November, I'm also excited to be publishing my first novel next summer. Yep, if you look at my Real You Chart, you'll find writing as a top passion of mine. And, if you knew me, you would know my dream has been to publish a novel since, well, Fourth Grade. If not earlier. And that was a long time ago!

So, finally, my dream is coming true! The novel's title is Here, Home, Hope and as you may have suspected, one of the characters is a real estate agent! Another is a home stager! You know what they say, write what you know and what you love. It's also a story of empowerment, naturally, and hopefully, it's really fun to read!

So why am I blogging about a book that won't be released until next May? I hoped you could help me by helping me choose a cover! I'm down to the final two choices, and would love your input.

Thanks so much for any input you have on the cover. Keep putting your passions into action. I know I've been having fun pursuing another one of mine. I'll let you know which cover wins the most votes!

I like the rocking chair. I had to really look at the second one, I thought it was a pic of a baby at first! Plus, the light blue is really pretty, calming, etc.

Good luck!

Karia -  the rocking chair gives you a more relaxed feeling than the lower one which gives you the feeling of being torn apart or disjointed. The lack of heads in both gives a feeling of incompleteness

The first photo seems sad to me - a sense of a lost pregnancy.  The second seems more hopeful - there's movement towards something.  Julie

I would pick the rocking chair, because of the "home" theme.

Yep, Cindy and Leanne, the rocking chair is the winner!

Thank you all for stopping by and giving me your opinion! I've posted the covers on my facebook page, too, and there the rocking chair is winniing as well! I promised to post the winner at 5 p.m. pacific...but I'll do it here a little before!

Look for the rocking chair cover of Here, Home, Hope in a bookstore near you in May 2011!

Happy Fall!

All my best,

Kaira

Kaira I accidently deleted this post and one of mine from the Real Living group here on ActiveRain trying to hit thestar to feature yours in the Real Living group.  Please repost it to that group and forgive my fumbley fingers.  I should not try moderating via phone.  I voted for the first cover on Facebook.
