Why I got into this business....

By
Mortgage and Lending with M & T Bank

Last night I had the opportunity to meet with Larry and Carol. They are purchasing a home with a VA loan. We spent from 7 am to 9 pm discusing their qualifications completing the application, filling out the binder with the seller concession for the agent. Then...BAM...it hit me. This is why I got into this busines to begin with. It was the hardest I've worked all week and it was the most satisfying part of the day.

We were all tired but they were enthused about being able to buy a home. Now I don't profess to know alot about all of the markets and the meltdows...although I will comment on it... but I do know that if you help people on the road to homeownership and take the time to make a friend...you'll have fun.

Have a great week.

How true it is.  I love it when I know that I had a part in someone's new home.

Same here.  One of the reasons I try and get to a closing. I get to see some happy faces leave the room.

This is the most satisfying part of the entire process. Seeing the hugs and smiles after the closing is priceless.

Takes away all of the negatives that have been surrounding us. We can only help one borrower at a time. Thanks for your comments.

I agree. And not only will you have fun, but you'll never run out of business if people know you care that much.

John, the thing that we completely missed in real estate school was the feeling we get when we help someone fulfill some that's so important to them. We saw that on our first deal and the impression has never gone away. More seasoned now, we've run into some tough ones, and especially in this market, but that joy of helping folks is always there. Thanks for bringing this up.

Also want to thank you for taking your time  to comment on the crest nonsense we did earlier this week. It was most appreciated.

Thanks for the comment. The crest story was classic.
