Energy Audits of Libraries in Rural Towns in Utah

By
Real Estate Technology with Alamo Infrared, LLC

Recently we find ourselves doing more and more energy audits on library buildings in small rural towns and local municipalities of Utah. Most of these buildings were older school buildings or former municipal buildings. These older buildings have not been upgraded or retrofitted with newer windows and doors. During a blower door test these anomalies become very apparent with infrared thermal imaging. The dark blue in the infrared photos is actual cold air infiltrating inside.
