Thank you, McKinney Woman Magazine, for believing in my story and featuring it as he cover of the July/August issue!

I've never been featured on the cover of a magazine and it was quite the honor. I never in my wildest dreams imagined that I would ACTUALLY be in print. Who knew that writing about something that is near and dear to my heart - my mom who passed away 10 years ago - could inspire me and others to take risks in their lives.

Thanks for sharing this article. That is a wonderful story and touching as well! Keep up the good work..I used to be a runner in my younger days, my husband and I ran every race in Houston...NOT the marathon! I do miss it, but now have a bad knee that prevents me from enjoying it like I used to!
