“We should be taught not to wait for inspiration to start a thing. Action always generates inspiration. Inspiration seldom generates action.” ~ Frank Tiblot ~
What is inspiration? One definition from Webster says “the action or power of moving the intellect or emotions”
Frank Tiblot, author and motivational speaker thought of it as action…which leads to inspiration. So I guess if I want inspiration, I need to act!
In Real Estate, we must inspire our clients on a daily basis. Whether we are helping them find a home, or marketing their home for sale. As I thought about this and the idea that as REALTORS® we have to be more than sales people. We really need to be the inspiration behind the purchase or the sale.
Our clients look to us for encouragement and approval at every turn. Keeping ourselves tuned for this role on a continuing basis can become quite a challenge.
Here are a few things that help me stay inspired……….
When I open my eyes in the morning, I SMILE. Especially if I am weary and worn out!
I look in the mirror and say “Something good is going to happen to me today” and then I EXPECT it!!
I open my blinds and take in the scene outside my door.Whether rain or shine, I take a moment to spot something new, something special.
No matter who I meet along the way, I smile and offer a “good morning” My Mother never knew a stranger, I learned that from her. Kindness will always move your emotions and just may be what that other person needed, to be able to do the same!
