Congratulations! We are happy to inform you that the Real Estate Buyers Agent Council (REBAC) has conferred the Accredited Buyer's Representative (ABR®) designation to you. Effective immediately , you may promote yourself as an ABR® designee in all your marketing materials.
Yay for me! To be honest I was getting a little acronym envy from hanging around activerain for the last little while. I already have point envy and there's not much I can do about that. But seriously, some of the folks around here have an entire alphabet following their name around. So I thought this might be a nice little designation to add to my resume.
Will it make a difference to my practice? We'll see, I think it depends on how I market it. Has anyone out there found the ABR® designation helpful in a business sense? I know it will help me a little with my acronym envy, now if I could just get a damn post featured it might help me a little with my point envy!

David: We can't kid ourselves that the public knows or can quantify any designation. I think the knowledge gained and how we apply it to be better agents in the real benefit of designations. Congrats!

Good for you, did you do the on line USA version or the Canadian re-write in class version?
We have completed this one both on line and the life version. We market the designation and use the marketing materials all the time.

Unless it's known and recognized by the public, I don't really think it will be that helpful.
So, they need to spend some money on promotion.
