I can't speak specifically about Oregon City, but I lived in Portland proper for a couple of years many moons ago. It was a beautiful area that I could appreciate even as a young adult.

I live in Portland, and I agree that it is a beautiful city.  Oregon City is about 20 minutes South of Portland, with a quaint small town feel.  Many people choose to live there, since it is such a short commute to the "Big City" of Portland.
