the real scoop: The Dairy Twist Diary - Lake Wallenpaupack - The Real Scoop - 08/26/07 08:32 PM Okay, so this isn't a diary. I just liked the play on "dairy" and "diary." Chill out and have a cool moo. The Lake Wallenpaupack area has changed a great deal since I was a little kid - some of it for the better, some of it "indifferent" (to me), and ... (14 comments)
the real scoop: Bomboy's Ice Cream, Have de Grace, MD - The Real Scoop - 08/26/07 07:47 PM Until today, I might have said that it was the ice cream, and only the ice cream, that I enjoyed so much. That appealing mix of milk, heavy cream, eggs, sugar, and any other ingredient your heart desires. But, that explanation doesn't touch the immense popularity of the ice cream sold ... (74 comments)

Hey, I wonder if it is possible to do a poll daddy survey on a carnival like this and have, uh, nah. Ballot stuffing - pregnant chads, the whole sordid mess.
Chris, I had fun... my first contest and I won 2nd place for nothing ! That will go down in the history books. Maybe next time we could give gift certificates to anyone wanting to visit us. Nahhhhhhhhh I'll just treat anyone to ice-cream at Washtenaw Dairy.

Chris - Wow thanks for "nothing" (LOL) I'm truly honored with all the great entries - I never anticipated winning - I need to buy my sno cone eating model another ice cream now. Who says "kids don't sell" - this is my first "carnival" and it was fun - thanks for challening us and doing a great job organizing it.

I know I gained 5 pounds just reading your blog...how could I go on and read all the rest...Ice cream is my absolute favorite food group. I want to thank you for inviting me to blog on my local parlor (It would have been Coldstone Creamery - we don't have any independents here) - I just have to keep out of there - like an alcoholic and his favorite bar....but thanks anyway from the fat man in Hemet!
Now Have a Blessed Day,
John Occhi, Hemet CA REALTOR® Mission Grove Realty
I enjoyed reading all these posts. Since I am not a big fan of ice cream I would have no idea where the good stuff is in my town so I just sat on the sidelines and read everyone's posts.
Thanks for the honorable mention. I still can't figure out why the #$&*ing map keeps slipping sideways. Rather than seeing the Ciity of Worthington where Graeter's is it shows east of Worthingtpn.
Chris, You did a great job! The people who entered did great! It was fun and look forward to other fun competitions. Several of the posts made me feel I was there and experiencing the ice cream and the surroundings.
Thanks for letting me participate. Sorry about the last minute thing. I was really gunning for the Under the Wire Award and am glad to see that my dreams came true. This was lots of fun! Looking forward to the next carnival.
