Camas WA Real Estate -- August Slowed Even More!

Once again homes for sale in Camas have been at a lower activity level reflective of both the slower summer season, and the healing of the local and national economy.

Earlier this month we've logged into the Camas MLS to obtain a quick snap-shot view of what happened real estate wise within the confines of Camas for the month of August. Here is what we have to report:

From this quick look at the home sales action we see the same number of Active listings with the mix more heavily weighted to the distressed property category; and with 11 fewer homes going Pending than last month.

As the national pundits have told us, we should expect the "Option-ARM" adjustments to kick in this year and force more home owners to becoming distressed and unable to pay the much higher mortgage.

Finally, the net number of Closed Sales is the same as last month, which was down dramatically.

From this quick review we see an earlier upward "blip" in the Average Camas Home Sales Price, is now moderating downward.  With the average Camas Home price generally higher than the Portland / Vancouver Metro area average, it is reasonable to expect a somewhat slower sales picture for this relatively small area.
