Clean House = Dream Home
Humans can be funny. I can complain about and insult my sister, but if someone else does it, it's not OK.
Same thing with what I'll overlook in the way of a less than perfectly clean house - when it's my house - and what would take me to the extreme on the disgust-o-meter in someone else's house.

Living in our homes, we can turn a blind eye to a layer of dust, cobwebs above the kitchen cabinets, the stainless steel sink that's lost its luster.
But once your house is for sale, finding these - and more intense signs that the house needs a thorough cleaning - can add, little by little, to a negative feeling that has buyers saying no.
Most of us know to get rid of the bigger and more obvious things - mysterious stains, strong odors, creepy things in the attic... But, as a seller, you can't afford to overlook the "constant drip" effect of room after room that feels, looks or smells dirty.

When putting a house on the market, you're creating a dream for buyers. Buyers want to feel that dream, and more importantly, feel as though they can have it. An essential part of the dream is that the house is absolutely ready for them to move in and start living that dream immediately, not after having to bring in an army of cleaners - or a Hazmat team - to get it ready.
Unless you're willing to sell for far less than what the market could bring you, you'll need to dust, vacuum, and scrub the house from top to bottom.
A clean, well maintained house doesn't require scented candles, sprays or plug-ins. If it's thoroughly clean, and kept that way while it's on the market, buyers may very well find that your house is their dream home.
Impact your bottom line: Clean, clean, clean - Hire a team if necessary, and make your home shine. Remember that how you live and how you sell are very different things!
