I recently attended a 2 day seminar for the CMAS designation which was hosted by the Mountain Metro Association of Realtors. This was an in-depth seminar which covered the following topics:

- Beetle Infestation, Control & Prevention
- Renewable Energy
- Legal Access & Easements
- Individual Septic Systems
- Environmental Issues - Radon, Uranium, etc.
- Altitude Horticulture & Noxious Weeds
- Living with Wildlife
- Due Diligence: Minerals & Mining
All of these topics are extremely relevant when you buy a house in the mountain communities (foothills) west of Denver and only a very small percentage of realtors in the area has obtained this designation.
