Every year Pueblo celebrates the harvest of the Mira Sol Chile with the Loaf ‘N Jug Chile & Frijoles Festival.  The festival was created as a fall event to promote the area's agriculture, especially its home-grown chilies and pinto beans.  This fun event now draws over 100,000 visitors.  The festival features a farmer's market (where you can stock up on roasted chilies), battle of the bands, Hot-to-Trot 5K-run/2 mile-walk, jalapeno eating contest, chili & salsa showdown, continuous entertainment, street vendors, and so much more!  The Chile & Frijoles Festival is a MUST SEE!

Location:  The festival will take place in downtown Pueblo, on Union Avenue between 1st and "B" Streets.

Festival hours:
Friday, 3pm-11pm
Saturday, 10am-11pm
Sunday, 10am-6pm

Cost: $2 per person; children under 12 are free

Shuttle service, courtesy of Kaiser Permanente, will run every 15 minutes between the Midtown shopping center and the corner of Grand and Victoria.
