Although the 90 degree weather were having this week still makes it feel like summer, autumn is officially here and with that comes the 17th Annual Pumpkin Festival in Bear Creek, North Carolina. Just about 30 minutes from Cary NC, this is a great place to take a drive on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon.
Sponsored by the South Chatham county Ruritan Club this yearly event takes place this Saturday and Sunday, September 25 & 26, 2010.
Kids Activities include a rock climbing wall, moon bounce, toy tractor pull, pumpkin putt putt and carnival games.
Lots of Down Home Eating- barbecue, cotton candy, homemade ice cream, and ham biscuits to name a few
View Traditional handcrafts made by local artisans.
There will even be a Corn Hole Tournament. I honestly don't know what this is, but will be sure to post pictures and the results next week!
The Festival is held at theHART Family Farm- 885 Meronies Church Rd, Bear Creek, NC.
Gates open at 10 am on Saturday and 12noon on Sunday- Rain or shine!
Admission is only $5.00 per person. Children under 4 are free.
