There are 3 great wine tastings going on this Friday. The knowledgeable staff of Sam's Fine Wine will be on site to answer all of your questions and help you expand your appreciation of wines. Join the Village at Sandhill's Marketplace Merchants and 25 local community organizations for this Fall Fling Carnival, September 25 from 11:30-2:30 in the parking lot in front of Bi-Lo. Saturday, September 25. Weekend Workshop: Sculpting Scarecrows.
Participants will have the opportunity to create and decorate their very own scarecrow to enter in the "Scarecrows in the Garden" contest. Participants are asked to bring items used to make and decorate their scarecrow. Hay, PVC pipe (for support), and snacks will be provided. Thursday, September 30. President Jimmy Carter Booksigning.
Books A Million will be hosting President Jimmy Carter and Farrar Straus & Giroux for the publication of White House Diary. The event will take place from 11:30-1:30 although you may want to arrive a hour early to ensure you get in. Tickets will be handed out on the 29th starting at 5pm. Thursday, September 30. Wine & Waltzes - LMSO Gala.
Begin your evening by relaxing with a cool glass of wine, tea or lemonade while listening to some outstanding music. Browse the beautiful artwork, enjoy the lavish buffet and be entertained as professional ballroom dancers demonstrate an array of styles and techniques and teach you the basics of the classic waltz.
