What is it about you that stands out? Are you ordinary or EXTRA-ordinary. Do you have a specialty and have perfected it? Will the public at large benefit from your involvement? Will you? Will your clients...fellow agents...?

Just being licensed doesn't cut it anymore. Oh, you may be in the game, but if you want to play a GOOD game, tell me who you are and what you do.........in 10 seconds...That's right. It may all boil down to that....a few seconds.

SECOND IMPRESSIONS ARE NOT FOR SALE.....AT ANY PRICE

People who scan resumes know this and know it well. There is no end to qualified applicants. They are looking for the extra-ordinary...the stand-outs and..... then they want to investigate and then interview these intriguing people.

People who sell you space on a billboard charge premium money for that. Tens of thousands of dollars up to hundreds of thousands depending on the location and traffic. They know that the billboard has only 1-3 seconds to make a point...so your advertisement has to be EXTRA-ordinary.....or you wont hit your target....

You hand someone your business card. Everyone does that thousands of times a day all over the world. What makes yours so special....There is only one uncommon answer to this common question......YOU DO.

Can you pass the business card test...?

Either someone meets you or someone takes your card and asks you, What do you do...? You now have 5-10 seconds to just thrill, inform, captivate, express, win-over, and sell your self using realness, honesty, sincerity and skill and simply state without missing a breath or a beat.... WHAT YOU DO AND WHO YOU ARE.....can yo do it...?

PUT ALL NOTES AND BOOKS AWAY AND CLEAR YOUR DESKS

Here's mine:

Question: What do you do for a living.

Answer: I am a Real Estate agent specializing in getting things done. Call me me if you have a need.....

THE INVISIBLES ARE AT WORK......PEOPLE SEE THEM EVEN IF YOU DON'T

If you add in the fact that you are well dressed, well groomed, articulate, have courtesy, manners, and poise....you have already sold someone on.... YOU. Now, seal the deal.....Your aura, persona, and confidence levels are all working while your brain, emotions and five senses are doing something else. They (the real) cannot be turned off...

DON'T DOUBT YOUR SELF.....YOU ARE THAT PERSON

It is important for you to know what you are talking about, how to present it, and how to help others understand the game plan too. Many will challenge your position and that is a good thing. You get to practice what you know and when you don't know....practice honesty and go find out...People like this and people will like you.
