The decision to rent or own a home is not an easy one, but here are a few things to consider before you make your decision.

You should rent your home if:

  • you aren't sure where you want to live
  • your job is not secure
  • you may get married or have kids in the next few years
  • you can get a better deal
You should buy the home if:
  • you are certain the home is right for you
  • you have a secure income and line of credit
  • your personal life is stable, and probably won't change for awhile
  • you think home prices in your desired neighborhood will rise

Ilyce, great bullet points for home buyers to ponder. I have seen several people buy wen they shouldn't have. Life changes quickly & stability is important before you sign on the hundreds of dotted lines!

This is right on target for prospective buyers to consider.  The stability of your life and your source of income are the most important things to consider before you purchase.
