Noblesse Oblige. It's a French saying, in its original form, the phrase means that "we must act in accordance with the position we occupy, whatever it is, with the reputation we have acquired." Simply said, "anyone who claims to be noble must conduct him/herself nobly."
It doesn't matter how "correct, perfect, professional, honest, diligent, thorough",etc., we are or try to be - there is and will always be someone who will challenge your integrity for whatever reason they deem important.
With real estate transactions, I find that at several times, but particulary at one of these stages...

...clients can get very difficult, can become unreasonable, and tend to test your patience. Sometimes, they will call anyone and everyone who will listen to them vent about whatever is bothering them. I chalk it all up to stress and as such, it's my job to rise above it.
So if it is our claim that we are "all of the above (fill in the blank)",it is also our job to consistently be "noblesse oblige" - regardless of good, bad, indifferent, right, wrong, stress or no stress times. Not only will this make you a better person, it will add credibility to what you do and how much pride you take in your job and yourself no matter who tries to tell you or anyone else otherwise.
Enjoy your weekend!
