Don't Let Detour Block Your Dreams

You're driving down a street and suddenly a sign announces "Road Closed Ahead."  What do you do? You have to find another route to get to your destination. You consider different ways to get around the blockage and choose a path that is likely to get you where you want to be.

It's the same in the current real estate market. Whatever your situation, you have many choices. Even if facing foreclosure, stay focused on your goals and look at all your options. When one path turns into a dead end, don't give up. Step back and look for another route. Don't hesitate to ask for help.

A low FICO score, for instance, does not necessarily mean you cannot buy a house. Lenders look at many factors - your income, employment history, whether you pay your bills on time are as important as your FICO score. There are dozens, probably hundreds of loan programs. No mortgage broker deals with all of them. If one says "no," don't stop looking. The next may be able to package your loan successfully. Your Realtor can help you find a reputable lender with a program that will work for you.

Credit scoring is among the subjects of a FREE home buyers seminar I am offering in September with a senior loan consultant at Mission Hills Mortgage Bank. We will cover ways to improve your credit score, the home loan process, and why pre-qualifying for a loan before you start looking at homes is important.

Reservations are required. Please call me at (909) 261-3541 to sign up.

My team of experienced professionals includes an agent who has seen the real estate market go through many cycles since he became a Realtor in 1958. He's a whiz at finding another way to reach our clients' goals. So don't let a detour destroy your dreams. If you are serious about buying a house, call me. We'll help you find a house you'll enjoy for many years to come.
