Testing 1024 pixel wide Real Estate Video That Doesn't Buffer Or Pause / Is It Worth The Effort?

Online video normally buffers...for us, it is usually one of the drawbacks of using video online.

However, our 640 pixel wide video doesn't buffer on probably 95% of the systems out there.  So, always trying to push limits, we have been hard at work on pushing 1024 pixel wide video without buffering.  Here is a sample:

Of particular interest is the closeup of the tug pushing the ship through the Panama Canal. There is a lot more work here than meets the eye.  We know that we can get the same results up to at least 1200 pixels wide (again, without buffering).

Remember that this is only a test...as a comparison, we are unaware of any competitors that push more than 400 pixel wide video... some even push less.

Anyone have any thoughts on if size video is worth the effort for real estate video interviews or property videos or is the video quality not meeting expectations?  Does it pause or buffer on your system?

Why be complacent with the status quo?

Feedback? Positive or negative is ok.

We are looking to make some decisions around if we are going to implement this or not for users with screens configured for 1200 pixels or larger.

we had no buffering issues, the video never stalled. i have never seen a large format like that. the 1200 or larger pixels i personally would not consider implementing - it is too large for the average viewer.

definately go for the large format!

Thanks for the feedback, Robert.  We are making some changes to our functionality to incorporate the larger video into our converstion and presentation process.
