Nice very nice
Michael, I saw a sign in a neighbohood about the pond tour and didn't have time to follow it. Now I wish I had!
Connie, yes, there was a house down the road from you that was on the tour. They had 4 small ponds that surrounded their swimming pool. This was not one of them...
James, I will do a post on all of them soon...
Lenn, thanks. Some of the smaller ponds were very well done...
Love ponds when someone else takes care of them! So soothing, mesmerizing etc., etc.
Now that's a nice pond! Maybe I'll become a "ponder" myself. I'll "ponder" on it awhile first though!
A 'pond tour' sounds like a different and great way to spend a day...Sounds like you enjoyed it...Enjoy the day.
well Michael this is a learning experience for me...we don't have ponding tours up here but i can see the peacefulness is this one...like the lone blooming water lily..
Michael-I love the sound of running water. I'd love to be able to have a pond of my own but for now I settle for walks along the river to soothe my weary head.
I agree with Cindy above, I love the sound of running water. I actually thought there was a typo when I first saw your blog...thought you meant pondering until I saw the pictures. lol

I love backyard ornamental ponds, Michael.....one of my single family investment properties had one by the pool and it was beautiful.....rented to family, so it was taken care of.....I love it....
Can the fish live in the pond in the winter? Or do you need to bring them indoors?
Good morning Michael,
This one is lovely. I can almost hear the water falling..such a relaxing sound and a visual delight!
Kenneth, if the pond is deep enough, they can. In norther climates, 4-5 feet is the norm. Here in the south, 2 feet is sufficient. I will write an article about this...
Love the small and intimate as opposed to the "grandiose" Michael............very nice.
I love to look at the koi in ponds. they're beautiful. some are huge.
I can so imagine my kids playing in that! I think that I'd have to wait a few years... even though it's beautiful!
We have tried small little ponds in our backyard, but never really take to them....we have one now that I clean out frequently, but mostly I let the animals and birds drink/bathe from them and hold off on flowers/etc. I love your picture and am envious!
Michael, my husband wants to put a pond in our back yard...it is big enough and may do this next year. He will love this photo...thanks!
Whether large or small a backyard pond definitely adds to the landscape and gives a calming effect. Caution: Be careful when you have small children you know how they love water.
So tranquil Michael! Very beautiful too when those lily pads bloom!
