I am not complaining here.  Let us understand that.  There are people in southern Minnesota and Wisconsin who have lost homes, cars and livelihoods due to the storm that passed through the last two to three days.  Our prayers should be with them.  The devastation is beyond my imagination.  A whole year's worth of rain in three days!

However, yesterday, the dogs would barely leave the safety of the enivirons to do their duties.  And, I needed to get to the compost "heap" as we call it.

It was damp, Damn damp.  And, oh, so wet.  Coming down in buckets.....literally I had a bucket on the deck....In the end, we only received two and a half inches.  But, the people south of us, some in clay soil, couldn't have been in a worse position unless a tornado was coming down upon them.

Our Governor is applying for Federal Disaster Relief.  If you can, donate to the Red Cross to assist the victims.  And, if I find another relief agency that is reliable, I will let you all know.

Thanks.  And please keep these folks in your thoughts.

Suzanne, 2.5 inches is still a lot of rain.  Per your appeal, sending thoughts and prayers that direction.

It seems so unfair. Other areas, like ours in Northern CA, have been suffering from drought conditions for the last 3-4 years.

Suzanne,

I've seen some of the pics on TV. Unusual for your neck of the woods. I'll certainly keep them in my prayers.

Suz - We dodged the bullet up here in Sherburne County, although it rained all day Thursday and most of Friday.  But, like Rich, we need do help our neighbors, if not with financial assistance, certainly with prayers.

Suzanne, your storms were on the news here in Denver too, and we have to pray for homes & lives.   Wish we could have some of that rain here though, we SO need it!
