I was really proud to be a part of the work force today on the "Mary Makins" Habitat for Humanity Home on Georgia St. in  central College Station.  Mark Makins a beloved community individual passed away a few years ago. The home is being constructed in her memory and will be purchased and owned by the Ford Family .  Mary's husband Scott and the Ford family were all on hand today to help paint the interior of the home. There were approximately 8 members of the Aggieland Rotary Club including yours truly on hand to help. This is my 3rd habitat home to actually work on and each time it is a real blessing to be a part of such a fine group of volunteers ...you can feel a great bond of friendship and love working side by side with them. If you have never experienced a day of work with Habitat as a volunteer I encourage you to get a few friends or co-workers together and do so! You will be glad you did!
